Rehearsals are on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:30-5:30pm and Saturday mornings from 10:00am-noon through November 12.  Following the workshop will be performances on Friday 11/13 & 20 at 7:30 and Saturdays and Sundays from 11/ 14 through 11/29 at 1:00pm.  Directed by Connie Mockenhaupt and Susan Mason with assistance from Allen Schmeltz and Mark Ferreira, this workshop provides students the opportunity to participate in all aspects of a musical production.   Tuition is $375. "Long Live Rock & Role" involves the Gordon Girl's Academy that is about to be foreclosed upon and the efforts to save the day and raise money by having a Rock Star perform in concert.  There are many fun characters including the Hillbillies who own the school. Set in the 50's this show will provide the opportunity to sing, dance and act while learning and enhancing various skills in a fun and safe environment.  Ages 9 - 18 are welcome! Musical Theatre Voice & Performance Class Mark Ferreira will be conducting a Musical Theatre Voice and Performance Class on Fridays from 3:30-5:30 beginning October 2.  Call (916) 353-1001 for information. 	Young People's Theatre of Folsom Lessons and Workshops in Theatre Arts for Children, Teens, and Adults. Instructor:  Allen Schmeltz ~ WORKSHOPS ~ “Improvisation & Scene Study Workshop” for 10-14 year olds $80 per month (four to five 2-hour sessions) Two Sessions Fridays from 3:30 to 5:30pm & Saturdays from 10:00am-Noon “Little Thespians Workshop” for 7-10 year olds $60 per month (four to five 1-hour sessions) Saturdays from 10:00am to Noon Students work on building confidence, working together, overcoming shyness, focusing and discipline through theatre games, improvisation and simple scenes. Students may join the workshops at any time.  If joining in the middle of the month, the fee is prorated. The schedule is especially geared for Homeschoolers since most of the class times are during the morning and early afternoon hours. Instructor - Allen Schmeltz Maximum 15 students Friday 3:30 - 5:30 (10-14 yrs) $80 per month (This session is currently full but a waiting list is available) Saturday 9:00 - 10:00am (7 - 10 yrs) $60.00 per month Saturday 10:30am - 12:30pm (10 - 14 yrs) $80.00 per month Workshops are ongoing and students may join anytime. * * * ~VISUAL ARTS~ (Pay fee for Visual Arts Classes by the Friday before the first class and receive a 5% discount!) Introduction to Painting for Children and Teens Each class is paced to the individual student and students may join at anytime. The Workshop offers an introduction to oil painting techniques with instruction based on the student's ability, experience and age using the award winning technique developed by Mike Jimena. Instructor - Mike Jimena Maximum 12 students Monday 4:00pm - 5:30pm (6-10 yr) $80.00 for a four week session Tuesday 3:30pm - 5:00pm (10 yr - Teen) $80.00 for a four week session Tues. classes start Jan. 20, Mon. start Jan. 26 All Painting Classes have an additional supplies fee of $25.00 per four week session. Joy of Painting for Teens through Seniors A self-paced class for all levels, beginner to experienced, in a fun setting. For mature teens, adults & seniors. Students my start at any time. Instructor - Mike Jimena Maximum 12 students Monday 1:00pm - 3:00pm $100 for a four week session. ($10 discount for seniors for this session only) Tuesday 6:00pm - 8:00pm $100 for a four week session. All Painting Classes have an additional supplies fee of $25.00 per four week Session.
